The annual GES Summit, held at the United Nations (UN) hosted over 1,000 leaders, students, advocates, and young professionals and focused on maximizing collective impact. CEP youth attended, networked, and learned about topics ranging from humanitarian aid to cultural preservation.
This year's theme was “Empowered and Emboldened for Impact.” Attendees were empowered to let international decisionmakers and the UN know they support meaningful actions that will improve the lives of people, promote justice, and increase the sustainability of our planet.
Having actual seats at the tables international leaders convene at was embolding within itself. Participating in the sessions at the UN only further increased CEP’s youth's feelings of efficacy as young leaders determined to enhance global affairs, protect cultures, and achieve SDGs.
