CEP Youth Host 2021 Summer Speaker Series
The Community Enrichment Project's presents its "2021 Summer Speaker Series" livestreams with experts in the Digital Media industry who use their platforms to raise awareness about, and advocate for, many social justice issues, such as voting rights.
The first livestream event featured guest Associate Producer and Audio Engineer, Shannon Lynch.
Shannon works in the production studio at New America as an associate producer and audio engineer. Her primary duties include producing podcasts and overseeing live audio production at New America events.
Before joining New America, Shannon worked as a producer on a political news show at SiriusXM. She holds a master's degree from American University in Audio Technology and a bachelor's degree in Government from Georgetown University.
Shannon is also the founder and executive director of the voter education nonprofit organization "She Votes."

CEP youth spoke during a “Building Relationships and Partnerships” Panel hosted by Howard University and MPD. The discussion centered around the perspectives of youth on issues regarding law enforcement roles in their communities, and expectations related to community safety concerns.
